# The Artist Room — Artist Rights Promise

This is the house promise for the Artist Room at `chillspace.love/art/`.
It is written to be understood before anything is published.

## A private preview is private

The browser preview in `index.html` does not submit or upload the selected
image or form text. The page has no analytics, account, database, or remote
script. The preview lives in the current browser tab; downloading makes a PNG
on the visitor's device and copying places plain text on their clipboard.

Preparing a private preview is **not** consent to a public feature.

## Before a public feature

Chillspace must receive a separate, recorded yes from the artist or rights
holder. That confirmation must identify:

- the exact image and text that may be displayed;
- how the artist wishes to be credited;
- the artist-controlled destination for buying, commissioning, visiting,
  supporting, or responding;
- any price, availability, access, or process information the artist chooses
  to share;
- the route for corrections and removal.

Silence, a public social-media post, or an image being technically accessible
is not permission.

## What the artist keeps

The artist keeps copyright and every right they have not explicitly granted.
For a public feature, Chillspace receives only a non-exclusive, revocable
permission to display the agreed image and text in the agreed Artist Room
feature and its own directly associated preview card.

Chillspace takes no ownership, sales commission, or exclusivity.

## What Chillspace will not do

Chillspace will not:

- sell, mint, tokenize, sublicense, or merchandise the artwork;
- use it to train, fine-tune, or evaluate an AI model;
- authorize another party to use it for AI training;
- strip the artist's name, link, rights note, or supplied context;
- invent an origin, process, authenticity, or authorship claim;
- rank the work or artist by likes, followers, bids, or engagement.

An artist may describe their process—including human, collaborative, and AI
tools—in their own words. Chillspace does not use unreliable AI detectors to
guess how a work was made.

## Correction and removal

An artist can ask for a correction or removal through the contact route named
with their feature. A changed mind is a sufficient reason. Chillspace should
remove the public feature promptly and keep only what law or an explicit
separate agreement requires.

## The honest limit of a public page

A public webpage can be copied, cached, screenshotted, indexed, or scraped by
third parties. Robots directives and policy statements communicate boundaries,
but they cannot technically guarantee that every third party will obey them.
Chillspace will say this plainly rather than promise protection it cannot
deliver.

## The care test

If a use would surprise the artist, ask again before doing it. When permission
is unclear, the work stays off the wall.
